Remembering Jyotirao Phule on the day he found the Satyashodhak Samaj

On 24 september 1873, Mahatma Phule had founded a progressive revolutionary organisation called Satyashodhak Samaj. Phule had also organised the 2nd coronation festival of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on this date. For the establishment of an egalitarian society, Phule accepted Shivaji as a role model. Through the medium of Satyashodhak Samaj, Phule has done a great epistemological work for the establishment of a scientific progressive society. His great vision is a milestone in the Bahujan movement of Maharashtra. Phule is a father of modern India and his great vision is an inspiration for all of us. His work and thoughts show an appropriate path and give answers to the contemporary  situation which is fairly negative. Satyashodhak Samaj as well as Phule can be called the mother of the movement for human rights, social justice and equality. This organization and Phule himself have been instrumental in changing the course of the socio-political environment. I pay my regards and gratitude to revolutionary work of Mahatma Jotirao Phule and Satyashodhak Samaj.
